Each gauntlet has its strengths and weaknesses, and can truly change how the game is played. And Spellbreak is making waves among them. But what are these weapons, the gauntlets? And what do they do? You don't take the gauntlet for the spell you take it for the interactions the sorcery has. It's probably the weakest out of all 6 gauntlets at mid range fights but the sorcery helps cover for a lot of its shortcomings. Now it requires better tracking to maintain that dps. Prior to the massive projectile size nerf, it was not out damaging other gauntlets it was just reliable to hit. It's probably the second best gauntlet challenging for first in the right hands as regardless of being a main or offhand gauntlet it plays the same. Currently I think it's sitting at a fair state and in the hands of someone with good positional awareness and time to master the gauntlet it's a devastating weapon. Ultimately it's stronger than average with the movement environment we have for now.įrost has always been the high risk high reward gauntlet and with the previous chapter it had a really easy time hitting players even in the hands of players who otherwise would struggle with the gauntlet(myself included). It's greatest weakness is the reliance on positioning and the terrain you're fighting in. It might be a little weak but at higher rarities it's easily capable of dumping on opponents who weren't ready. The spell requires more skill to hit as it is slower and slimmed down from previous versions. Stone is in a good spot though it is clearly not the best. Sprinkle in the minor CC combos that temporarily stun opponents and you have a gauntlet that can easily be the best in the game. ![]() It's base damage and range are excellent and can easily allow a defensive player using it, the ability to kite opponents despite the class they are using. Yes the bloom counters everything the class wants to accomplish however the bloom has a distinctive pattern so it's not entirely useless as you ramp it up with the class passive. ![]() ![]() This is where Pyro widens its gap as ignite can tick regardless with both the spell and sorcery.Ĭonduit is fantastic now with proper bloom showing an effective difference in how the gauntlet operates. It's best quality is stripping armor after that it's just another awkward pellet toss after another. Tox has tons of things that impeded or counter it during fights(elemental interactions, runes if youre playing the class, and talents) making it best on its class but far worse as an off-hand. The damage, control, and intuitive nature of the gauntlet grants players what makes it both the best gauntlet and the best for new players. Fireball's mana cost is by far the easiest to manage out of all the spells and with vigor and vampriric you can somewhat safely face roll most fights. It also has priority over or goes even with the other gauntlets. The gauntlet has fair projectile speed and when paired with its class it becomes stronger covering for its small projectile size. Pyro is easily the best gauntlet in the game. ![]() Honestly as a toxic main its not the best gauntlet. ![]()
